    I can’t remember after all this time! I think I did. However I failed the other day for the first time in a long time with TAFFY. My wife got it in 5 but it was a fluke as it means something totally different in the USA, they have no idea it’s our slang for a Welshman! So I ruled it out as a possibility It ended a very long streak ☹️ As an aside my wife’s word came up last Christmas Day - she uses SHARE every time. I use the same word (POSIT) but it has yet to come up. I’ll be glad when it does as I can then start using different starting words!

  7. We are delighted to confirm the signing of Kai Evans from Nantwich Town for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old attacker joins the Shakers on the back of a standout 2024/25 campaign, in which he scored 17 goals in the Northern Premier League West Division. Evans started out at Stoke City before joining his hometown club Wrexham in 2021. He made just two first-team appearances for the Red Dragons before being released two years later. In 2023, Evans signed for Nantwich, where he soon established himself as one of the most promising talents in non-league football. In his first season in Cheshire, he scored 18 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions and won the club’s Young Player of the Season award. A skilful forward with an eye for the spectacular, Evans netted a further 17 goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances last term, helping Nantwich to an eighth-placed finish. In addition to being the Dabbers’ top scorer, Evans won the club’s Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards. Evans was also recently named the NPL West Division’s Young Player of the Season, the NPL’s Rising Star, and runner-up in the NPL Supporters’ Player of the Season award. His stellar performances also earned him a place in the NPL West Division Team of the Season.   8. We can confirm the departure of forward Bryan Ly, who has joined Wythenshawe FC for an undisclosed fee. Bryan joined us last summer from the club he’s returning to. He made 49 appearances in a Shakers shirt, scoring 16 goals. His energy, determination, and professionalism quickly made him a favourite among teammates and supporters alike.   11. We’d like to congratulate former Football Board Chair & FSSB Board member, Marcel De Matas on his inclusion on the King’s Birthday Honours List. Marcel has received an MBE for his services to football in the town. As football chair, a role which he began in 2021, Marcel led diligently on football-related matters, covering various roles that make the operations side of the club tick. From chairing the football board meetings, all the way through the club to liaising with and assisting in managing the large group of matchday volunteers. Throughout his time on the board, he had always been on hand to offer support and guidance to supporters. Gareth Castick, Football Board Chair said: Marcel’s well-deserved recognition with an MBE is a testament to the passion, dedication, and tireless effort he has given to our club and community, which he still does from his seat in the stands.   19. We can now confirm our Matchday Parking arrangements ahead of the 2025/26 season. The club has received many enquiries regarding parking, so we have set out the following guidance. Last week, we offered the opportunity for supporters who used their Blue Badge Holders Car Park Passes on more than 75% of games to renew their pass, before general release. We can now release the remaining 25 passes for blue badge holders to claim. Once having secured one of these spaces, supporters will then be required to attend the club reception to present their blue badge and collect a pass. The club will communicate directly with pass holders as to when they are available for collection. As with the past season, the remaining spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day. We will now take card payments alongside cash sales.   29. We are delighted to confirm the signing of attacking player Kieran Glynn from Hereford. The 27-year-old has largely played in the National League North but did achieve promotion from the Northern Premier League Premier Division in the one season he played in it with Scarborough. Born in Oldham, Glynn started out at FC United of Manchester, before moving to Salford City. During his time at the Ammies, he spent loan spells at Chorley, Woking & Southport. He joined Scarborough in 2020 and went on to spend three years on the Yorkshire Coast. After a spell with AFC Fylde, he returned to Scarborough the following year before making the move to Hereford, where he finished last season playing in the National League North. For those looking to attend these sessions, you will need: A valid email address, which you can access. A debit or credit card to process the payment. No cash payments will be taken. The reception will be open: Thursday 12th June – 9am-12pm Tuesday 17th June – 4pm-7pm Wednesday 18th June – 1pm-4pm Please note due to ongoing stadium works at Gigg Lane, nobody will be allowed to enter the stadium beyond the reception desk. For supporters who don’t have an email address, Bury Council run Digital Buddy sessions each week at the town’s libraries, in which you can book a 1:1 appointment to set up an email address, amongst other technology-related questions.   31. We are delighted to announce the signing of full-back Kieran Lloyd from Bala, subject to NPL & FA approval. The 22-year-old joins the club after 35 appearances in the Welsh top division last season. Lloyd started out at Liverpool before moving to Wigan Athletic where he had loan spells with clubs including Larne, Chorley & AFC Fylde. He was released by Wigan last summer, where he then joined Bala.
