Match Info: Lower Breck (H), Sat 15th Nov, 3:00pm KO
Shakers head back to Gigg Lane for a table-topping clash against Lower Breck. A win would see us cut the gap to Breck two points at the top of the table, subject to other results involving Avro & Shifnal Town. We come into this one off the back of Tuesday’s 4-1 win at Nantwich, braces from Rustam Stepans and Kai Evans either side of half time gave us our first away win since early October. Breck faced Avro in midweek and came off the back of it with just their second defeat of the season. Prior to kick off, we will be holding our Remembrance Service honouring those who fought and died so we could live in freedom. We would like to invite any Veterans to enjoy the game on us. All you need to do is report to the hospitality entrance on matchday with your proof of service. The fixture will also kick-off at 3:03pm to support National League’s 3UP Day of Action. Read more here. In Opposition – Lower Breck Founded 14 years ago to offer a youth team for Liverpool’s Tuebrook community, the club now plays at the Anfield Sports Community Centre. It later lifted its age restrictions, setting its sights on becoming Liverpool’s leading non-league side, a goal proudly expressed in the Latin motto on its coat of arms: nulli secondus (“second to none”). Lower Breck joined the Shakers in the NPL West with promotion in the playoffs last year, after being in the NWCFL since 2019. On the Day & In the Ground Our Matchday @ Gigg guide is available to read to find out everything you need to know going on in and around the ground. Read more here about Enhanced Safety Measures at Gigg Lane that have been introduced in recent weeks. Tickets are still on sale via our ticketing page on our website. Important Matchday Information: Enhanced Safety Measures at Gigg Lane
Bury Football Club would like to thank all supporters for their cooperation with the new safety procedures introduced at Gigg Lane recently. These changes are part of our continued commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and enjoyable matchday experience for everyone attending our home games. Arrive Early to Avoid Delays We’re asking all supporters to arrive a little earlier than usual to help ease entry into the ground. The new procedures may take slightly longer at the turnstiles, so arriving in good time will help prevent queues and avoid any delays to kick-off. Increased Security Searches: A Safer Stadium As part of the enhanced safety measures, supporters will notice increased searching at the turnstiles, including the use of security wands by the trained stewards. These searches are a simple but important step in keeping everyone safe and ensuring Gigg Lane remains a welcoming environment for all fans. Thank You for Your Support We’d like to thank fans for their continued support and for working with us as we implement these measures. By arriving early and following steward guidance, you’ll help ensure that everyone can enjoy the matchday build-up and get behind the team right from kick-off. View the full article

Bury FC Volunteer Reward Scheme
At Bury FC, our volunteers are the heartbeat of the club; their time, dedication and passion help keep everything running smoothly both on and off the pitch. With over 200 incredible individuals giving up their time to support the club, we want to show our appreciation and give something back. To celebrate their efforts, we’re introducing a new Volunteer Reward Scheme. Each week, one volunteer will be selected at random to receive a Certificate of Appreciation, recognising their contribution and commitment to Bury FC. Casey Lynchey, Head of Operations, said, “It’s a simple gesture, but it means a lot – a small way to give a big ‘thank you’ to the incredible volunteers who make such a huge difference to our club and the wider community. Week after week, our volunteers give up their own time to help with everything from matchday operations and community projects to maintaining the ground and supporting our teams. Their passion and commitment are at the heart of what makes Bury FC so special, and this reward scheme is our way of recognising just how valued they truly are. We want every volunteer to know that their efforts don’t go unnoticed and that they are an essential part of the Bury FC family.” Our first volunteer winner is Nick O’Brien who is the assistant manager of our U12B boys team and occasional coach with our Baby Ballers. We spoke to Rhys the U12s manager who had this to say about Nick, “I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Nick at Bury FC, and I can honestly say his dedication to the U12s team is nothing short of inspiring. As a volunteer coach, he gives his time freely, but you’d think it was his full-time job with the amount of effort and passion he puts into everything he does. What many people don’t see is the incredible work he does behind the scenes. Planning training sessions, analysing matches, communicating with parents, and making sure every player feels valued and supported. He’s constantly looking for ways to help the kids develop not only as footballers but also as people.” Nick added, “His enthusiasm is infectious, and his commitment to creating a positive, disciplined, and fun environment for the players sets a brilliant example for everyone at the club. Whether it’s turning up early to set up cones and goals in the rain, staying late to tidy up, or spending his evenings researching new drills and coaching methods, Nick always goes the extra mile. He genuinely cares about every player’s progress and takes pride in seeing them grow in confidence and ability. Bury FC and the under 12’s team are lucky to have someone with his level of commitment and heart. He embodies what grassroots football is all about, passion, teamwork, and a genuine love for helping young players thrive.” View the full article
