We head into the final five games following an agonising finale to our Good Friday battle with Wythenshawe at Gigg Lane. The Shakers go into our local derby at Prestwich after a great run of results – including a 5-2 home win against Heys on December 28th.   Since then we have established a clear lead at the top of the league and turned in some excellent performances – including Tuesday night’s 3-2 win against Isle of Man. Following a bye in the last round of the Macron Cup, on Saturday we travel to near-neighbours Ramsbottom United in the second round of the competition. It’s back-to-back cup matches for Dave McNabb’s side after Tuesday’s league fixture with Pilkington was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. McNabb is taking a full squad up the A56 to take on the Rams, but could look to introduce players from our Under 23s squad who are also available for selection. Ramsbottom come into the game

There is no respite for the Shakers and the games keep coming! We follow our cracking 3-0 Emirates FA Cup victory at Blyth Spartans on Saturday by taking on local rivals Ramsbottom United at the Harry Williams Stadium in Rammy on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
