Match Info: Fleetwood Town Ladies (H), Sun 19th Nov, 2pm KO

Last weekend, the team were victorious with a 4-1 win over local rivals Rochdale to progress to the semi-finals of the Manchester FA Women’s Challenge Cup. This weekend, attention turns to Fleetwood Town Ladies.
In our opponents’ last league fixture, they were also victorious 4-1 against Salford City FC, with mixed form throughout the season so far. They currently sit 7th place in the league table with 4 wins, 1 loss and 4 draws.
The team look to maintain momentum following our progression in the Manchester FA Women’s Challenge Cup. The team sit 9th place in the league standings on 7 points, with a positive result seeing a further stretch made away from the bottom of the league. Bury have won 4 and drawn 1 in the last 5 matches in all competitions.
Last season, both teams played each other in the league cup and the game was a draw after 90 minutes, with Bury losing out on penalties. This time around, the ladies look to get a result and produce a solid performance in the league to make up for last season’s upset.
The game will kick off at 2pm, taking place at Kearsley Academy in Bolton due to a waterlogged pitch at Gigg Lane.
Let’s hope the team can produce a solid performance and pick up another victory!

    GAME OFF: Pilkington

Tonight’s game at Gigg Lane against Pilkington has been called off as the pitch is waterlogged.

Persistent spells of rain throughout the day have put paid to the game, with the ground staff facing a battle to manage the amount of rain, on top of an already saturated playing surface, which left standing water in many areas.

Tickets will be held over to the re-arranged game and we will be in touch once we know when that is.
