The FA have given notice today, that Bury FC will compete in both the FA Cup & FA Vase during the 2023/24 season.   As a two-time FA Cup winning club in 1900 & 1903, we will enter the competition at the Extra Preliminary Round stage on Saturday 5th August.   The draw for which will be announced next Friday (7th July).   The FA Vase is the competition played between all the teams at Step 5 and Step 6 of the National League System. Ticket sales for the first sightings of Bury at Gigg Lane on the 8th and 9th July, against Bradford City and Preston North End respectively, have gone well.   This has allowed us to prepare in advance and discuss our requirements with the various agencies concerned with supporter safety. Bury FC are delighted to confirm the addition of midfielder Jack Lenehan, who joins the club after leaving Atherton Collieries.  As a youngster, Jack played in Rochdale AFC’s youth setup, before moving to Chorley where he played a notable part in their 2018 Lancashire Cup success. Bury FC are delighted to confirm Chris Rowney has joined the club ahead of the 2023/24 season. The midfielder has played under Andy Welsh for the last two seasons at Bury AFC and has made 76 apps, including 55 league starts and scored just once against Widnes in the FA Cup last season.
