Bury go into their FA Cup preliminary round match at Avro on Saturday with confidence sky high after a thumping 7-1 league victory at Abbey Hey on Tuesday.   The Shakers needed a good performance after the tame home draw against Irlam at Gigg Lane last weekend. The team at Bury Art Museum are asking for Bury FC fans to put pen to paper and write down your personal stories of why you support the Shakers. How did you come to support the club?  Did your parents / grandparents support Bury? Ahead of tonight’s game away at Abbey Hey, Dave McNabb has issued the following update on a number of players: Brad Carroll We’ve been dealt some bad news in the last week with the scan results coming back on Brad knee injury confirming that he has a full rupture of his PCL and is likely to be out for up to 6 months. Brad has been brilliant since he came to the club, fantastic performances on the pitch and a player who is highly respected and well thought of in the changing room.

We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Cameron Fogerty The 20-year-old joins the club after leaving NPL side Witton Albion. He made 78 appearances for the club. We are delighted to announce the signing of forward Lewis Alessandara The 35-year-old joins the club after playing for Hyde United this season. Born in Heywood, he came through the ranks of local side Roach Dynamos before joining Oldham Athletic. Morecambe, Plymouth, Notts County & Carlisle United are also amongst his former clubs. With the 2024-25 season swiftly approaching, we can confirm our full fixture list for the North West Women’s Regional League, for our Women’s First Team.   August sees one away game against Salford City FC Lionesses Women (21st August), followed by two home games on our new 3G pitch, with matches against Tranmere Rovers Women (25th August) and Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies 1st (28th August).   September sees only one game league game played, in which we take a trip to Tranmere Rovers
