There is no respite for the Shakers and the games keep coming! We follow our cracking 3-0 Emirates FA Cup victory at Blyth Spartans on Saturday by taking on local rivals Ramsbottom United at the Harry Williams Stadium in Rammy on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm). At Blyth, second-half goals from Alex Cherera, Bebeto Gomes and Connor Pye saw off a team who have previously enjoyed many Cup successes and laid to rest a nearly 30-year-old ghost, by avenging Spartans two-nil victory at Gigg Lan

We’d like to place on record our thanks to Macauley Wilson, who has departed the club today by mutual consent. Macauley joined us from Bamber Bridge in the summer, with a wealth of experience. He made nine competitive appearances for the club, scoring once against AFC Liverpool. Living in the Blackpool area, he was travelling a distance to commute for training & matches and has car shared with fellow players who live in the area but given recent injuries to those players, it’s foun

Bring it on! That’s the spirit in the camp as the Shakers face the long journey to the North East tomorrow to face Blyth Spartans in the FA Cup.   Yes, they’re a club with a great history and in a higher league. But we have already seen off three teams from a higher division in earlier rounds and have nothing to fear.   And another Yes – we struggled against Isle of Man last weekend. But that last kick draw with two of our players in the sin bin boosted morale on and off the pitch.

We’d like to provide an update on our Legends Wall.   First of all, we’d like to thank all fans who sponsored a player from down the years.    We’re currently working with our Heritage Committee to create the 15 history panels that will be interjected into the player panels, matching the relevant players to the correct era.    Once designed we will publish each history panel and open these up for sponsorship.    We’re hoping to launch the Legends Wall at our first hom

Dave McNabb’s 50th game in charge of the Shakers came with late drama at the weekend, with a 1-1 draw away at FC Isle of Man. Ben Hockenhull equalised in the sixth minute of stoppage time, after Sean Doyle opened the scoring for the Ravens 11 minutes into the second half. The fans were in fine voice in the Manx’s capital, after hundreds made the trip across the Irish Sea for the second time this calendar year. Luckily with no delays this time! You can watch Dave McNabb’s post mat
