There is no respite for the Shakers and the games keep coming! We follow our cracking 3-0 Emirates FA Cup victory at Blyth Spartans on Saturday by taking on local rivals Ramsbottom United at the Harry Williams Stadium in Rammy on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm). At Blyth, second-half goals from Alex Cherera, Bebeto Gomes and Connor Pye saw off a team who have previously enjoyed many Cup successes and laid to rest a nearly 30-year-old ghost, by avenging Spartans two-nil victory at Gigg Lan

We’d like to provide an update on our Legends Wall. First of all, we’d like to thank all fans who sponsored a player from down the years. Dave McNabb’s 50th game in charge of the Shakers came with late drama at the weekend, with a 1-1 draw away at FC Isle of Man. Ben Hockenhull equalised in the sixth minute of stoppage time, after Sean Doyle opened the scoring for the Ravens 11 minutes into the second half. The fans were in fine voice in the Manx’s capital, after hundreds made the trip across the Irish Sea for the second time this calendar year. Luckily with no delays this time!
