The appeal against the ban to play two games behind closed doors, was rejected last week.     We are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Dean Pinnington from FC Isle of Man.   The Manx-born 21-year-old started his career at Wolves before moving to Wigan. Aged 10, Dean was invited to play at the Isle of Man Centre of Excellence, and he went on to represent the island as a junior from the age of 10 to 15.     As our update earlier in the week, we are to play our next two home games behind closed doors. Supporters will not be allowed into Gigg Lane for the following two fixtures:   Barnoldswick Town – Tues 12th March, 7.45pm KO Charnock Richard – Sat 16th March, 12.30pm KO* Thankfully, we have agreement from both Charnock and the league to bring forward the kick-off time next Saturday to 12.30pm*.     Irlam it is this weekend and our last game of the season outside of the Borough of Bury. With six of the last nine games at Gigg Lane, and the other two away games at Prestwich and Ramsbottom, we head out onto the M60 and into Salford for the last time in the regular season. It is a 3pm kick-off at the RG3 Digitial Stadium this Saturday. Last weekend, we grabbed the win against a tough Lower Breck side on a difficult pitch.     Our appeal on the sanctions for charges relating to offensive supporter behaviour in September last year, has been dismissed. We will be required to play our next two home games behind closed doors. These are against Barnoldswick Town next Tuesday (12th) and Charnock Richard the following Saturday, 16th March. We are allowed to produce a live stream broadcast of the Barnoldswick game but not the Charnock Richard fixture. We will continue to work with the Manchester FA on tackling

    Today was our scheduled FA appeal hearing, following charges brought relating to offensive comments made by supporters inside Gigg Lane during the fixture against West Didsbury & Chorlton on 2nd September 2023 (here). The committee will now deliberate before feeding back on the judgement within the next couple of days.
