We welcome Colne to Gigg Lane determined to bounce back from our disappointing start to a month which may well prove vital in our bid for promotion.   That 3-1 defeat at Litherland REMYCA was hard to take, but hey! – football’s always about a new start with the next match.   We beat Colne 2-0 at their place at the end of October, with second-half goals from Ben Hockenhull and Connor Pye. Since then, we’ve won two and lost two and Colne have won two, drawn one and lost one.

We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Nicky Adams from Radcliffe, and with it Nicky starts a fourth spell at Gigg Lane. The 38-year-old began his footballing career with the Shakers, after coming through the club’s youth setup in the early 2000s. We are delighted to update you on the progress of the Gigg Lane Memorial Garden in conjunction with FGRS and Bury Council.   Our stadium volunteers have been hard at work and the project is expected to be completed in the new year, with FRGS overseeing a planting project and sensory space as part of their family workshops.
