Across the weekend, FSSB members have been voting for our new home kit for the next two seasons. Voting closed at 7pm tonight, 948 FSSB members voted. 922 ballots were tallied for the kit, with 26 abstentions. With our preferential voting system, we had two rounds of voting. Everyone at Bury Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Tom Youngs at the very young age of 45. Tom died yesterday, Sunday 4th May, having been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis back in 2014. Tom was an East Anglian man, born in Bury St Edmunds and began his career with a successful six-year spell at Cambridge United, where he played 150 league games, scoring 43 goals. Some sad news has reached Bury Football Club with former Shakers goalkeeper Ken Hancock sadly passing away this week at the age of 87. Ken joined the Shakers in July 1971, being signed by Tom McAnearney as a replacement for Neil Ramsbottom, but after just 24 appearances for the club during 1971/1972 season, lost his place to John Forrest. Following discussions with organisers this week, we can confirm the cancellation of the Manchester Remembers charity football match at Gigg Lane on June 14th, 2025.
