Bury FC have made a shaking appearance in England’s oldest footballing competition, with the First Round Proper just one successful game away, writes Lily-Mae Cooper.   A strong start for the Shakers entering in the Extra Preliminary Round on the 3rd of August with a 4-2 win against a predicted cohesive, strong Congleton Town. Our next women’s first team match sees the Shakers host Salford City FC Lionesses Women, following Sunday afternoon’s loss against Wythenshawe. Salford currently sit in ninth place in the Premier Division of the North West Womens Regional League, one below Bury. Our women’s first team visits Wythenshawe this Sunday, where the Shakers will be looking to revert to the success they saw in the early stages of the season. Currently sitting first in the table, Wythenshawe has had a successful run so far, with the team yet to experience defeat.
