In a weekend with a quick fire double header your Shakers took on a strong Cheadle Town side in front of the Gigg Lane faithful on Saturday and faced a second trip to play an impressive Charnock in a fortnight. The Bank Holiday Weekend of football continues with a trip to Charnock Richard on Monday afternoon. It’s our second visit to Mossie Park in eight days, we were beaten in the FA Cup last Saturday, after a late winner from Charnock Richard’s Luke Power in added time saw the Lancastrians into the next round. One of the stars of the season has without a doubt been Darius Palma. He’s arguably been our top performer so far. Unfortunately, the shoulder injury he sustained first at Wythenshawe Town, and then more seriously at Padiham requires surgery. Paying for this privately should see him back by January, but it’s unlikely we will see him back this season without private medical care. Bury Football Club is extremely saddened to share the passing of Emily Wilcock, aged 27. Emily joined to play within the recreational setup two and a half years ago and was an very proud and committed member of the setup, barely missing a training session, taking part in extra summer sessions and attending social events with the squad.
